• Keep connectors clean.
• Put the protective cap back on when not in use.
• The fibre’s bend radius must always be greater than 30 mm.
• Do not touch the ferrule prior to installation.
• Make sure each connector is installed properly.

1. Wet lens paper with filtered water and rub it gently over the surface of the ferrule. Repeat with a wipe intended for delicate tasks to blot up excess water.
2. Do not use isopropyl alcohol or acetone.
3. Hook up the connector or put the cap back on.

Cassettes and MPO connector cleaners also yield acceptable results.

Before you inspect a connector, always make sure the light source is turned off.
